RVKBear is a lively festival inspired by the Bears on Ice tradition, launching in 2019 in Reykjavík, Iceland. Organized by the nonprofit Bears of Iceland, its goal is to nurture a vibrant bear community. Despite initial obstacles, RVKBear expanded rapidly from 25 international participants in its inaugural year to over 100 attendees in 2023. The event provides an exclusive and personal experience with excursions into nature, visits to geothermal lagoons, nightly festivities, and a variety of activities. It has evolved into a global center for bears to engage, rejoice, and establish enduring friendships.
